Linkover: Enhanced Link Preview Tool for Chrome
Linkover is a free Chrome add-on designed to enhance the browsing experience by previewing link information on hover. When users hover over a link, Linkover loads the page in the background and displays a tooltip containing the page title, thumbnail, description, URL, and favicon. This feature allows users to quickly assess the content of a link before deciding to visit it, making it particularly useful for sites that truncate lengthy titles.
The tool was developed to address the issue of truncated link titles, which can hinder users from understanding the page's content without clicking through.
